The Aurora System is the only FDA cleared, truly dedicated and truly integrated MRI system designed specifically for 3-D bilateral breast imaging.

Advanced Imaging Services (AIS) features the Aurora Dedicated Breast MRI System which delivers significant technological and diagnostic advantages over a standard whole-body MRI fitted with a breast coil.   The Aurora is the only breast MRI in the Pacific Northwest region that is able to scan images in 1.1mm contiguous slices, versus the general MRI alternatives that can only scan at 2-3 mm with non-contiguous slices.

The Aurora System provides the ability to see the most difficult DCIS cancers before they surpass the 1mm size; which is essential to early cancer detection and treatment. Our exceptional image acquisition capability provides you with the best screening and diagnostic breast MRI technology available today.

Breast MRI is a key tool in finding cancer early, and clearly identifying the extent of cancer when it is detected.  Also, Breast MRI is one of the only tools that can detect early cancer in women with dense breast tissue and it is the method recommended by the FDA to detect breast implant ruptures.

The Aurora System is a set of dedicated imaging tools that are designed to be used only for breast MRI (versus whole body scanners, temporarily fitted with a coil when breast imaging is desired).  By designing the Aurora System, from the inside out, to focus on breast imaging, the Aurora System provides fine-resolution images to help identify cancer at its earliest stages.

Breast MRI has emerged as a critical tool, in conjunction with regular mammograms, in fighting breast disease.  Earlier detection and improved treatment have resulted in decreasing rates of incurable cancer.  Breast MRI may improve those rates even further.
